In 1989, we began lodging our clients at The Timberdoodle Inn, which was built entirely by our family and is still in the process of expanding. Currently, the Inn features a spacious great room on the upper level with a natural stone fireplace, all natural hardwood flooring and the walls and ceiling are tongue and groove paneling. Also on the upper level is a dining area and a well appointed kitchen, all overlooking the beautiful north woods.
On the ground floor, we have five guest bedrooms with two full and two half baths. All bedrooms have ceramic tile flooring with radiant heat, tongue and groove paneling of various species harvested from the estate, all beautifully appointed for comfort. This will accommodate 12 guests with plenty of space for everyone to enjoy. We also have a gun cleaning area, a utility area and the lodge office on the ground floor.
We also have a rustic farm house available for lodging. The house is located a quarter of a mile from our lodge. It is located on a hill overlooking the picturesque countryside. The house has two bedrooms, one full bath, a livingroom and a kitchen.
Our family lives in a separate area of the lodge. The lodge is located on the farm where Peter was raised. We are located 7.5 miles northwest of Phillips, Wisconsin.
Our beautiful Timber Doodle Inn will provide you with a hearty breakfast, a field lunch and a wonderful gourmet, home-cooked dinner. Most of our hunting packages include a meal plan. All of our food is homemade, nutritious and well-balanced. We can also accommodate special diets and vegetarians, but please let us know of your special needs in advance. Guests are allowed to bring their own beverages.
Our lodge and farmhouse are non-smoking establishments, however you are welcome to enjoy your pipe, cigar or cigarettes in any of the many beautiful outdoor areas.
Plan your next expedition at Back Forty Hunting Guides and let us show you how rewarding it can be.
